Application and properties
• Masonry mortar for clinker bricks is a factory-produced compound of cement, appropriately selected fillers and modifying additives.
• Maximum grain size is 2 mm.
• The content of trass reduces the risk of efflorescence.
• The mortar is suitable for simultaneous bricklaying and joining of walls made of clinker elements (so called filled-joint bricklaying).
• The mortar is easy to apply and offers good adhesion as well as water and frost resistance.
• Designed for indoor and outdoor use.
• Layer thickness: 6 ÷ 40 mm.
Instructions for use
Preparation of bricks
The bricks should be clean and dry.
Preparation of mortar
Pour the content of package to cold water, using approximately 3 litres of water per 25 kg of dry mortar and thoroughly mix until a homogeneous compound with no lumps is obtained.
Bricklaying
Apply mortar according to the principles of bricklaying with fully filled joints. Immediately remove any smudges of dirt occurring on the brick faces. Smoothen the joints before the mortar sets. Once prepared, the mortar should be used within 2 hours. If thickens earlier, mix it again without adding any water. Consumption (1 m2 of 12 cm thick wall made of traditional size bricks and 1 cm thick joints): about 34 kg of mortar.
Application temperature and substrate temperature: +5˚C ÷ +25˚C.
Curing
During the works and for several days after their completion protect the wall against excessive solar radiation and rainwater.
