Lightweight plaster for mechanical application

• CEKOL TLG-48 is used for mechanical application of plasters in dry rooms of the relative air humidity up to 70%, on mineral substrates.
• The product can also be applied manually.
• CEKOL TLG-48 is a mixture of synthetic gypsum, mineral fillers, lightweight aggregates and modifying additives.


Preparation of the substrate

Using a spatula, remove the remains of emulsion and oil paints, and loose grains of sand. The substrate should be clean, tight and free of grease.


Highly absorbent substrates and substrates showing uneven absorption properties  need to be primed with the CEKOL DL-80 GOLD. Smooth surfaces and ceilings should be primed with the CEKOL GS-83 CONTACT preparation.

Preparation of the mortar

For manual application of the mortar, pour 1 kg of powder to 0.6 l of cold water (about 12 litres per 20 kg package) and mix it thoroughly. When applying the plaster with the use of machines, the amount of water should be determined experimentally, depending on desired thickness of layer, type of base and plastering equipment.

Execution of the plaster

Prime the substrate, fasten the corners and profiles (if used), then apply the plaster mechanically (or manually) to the prepared substrate. When using plastering equipment, apply the mortar of the proper density on the substrate in horizontal overlaying strips. Apply the plaster top-to-bottom. Preliminarily even the applied plaster with an aluminium trowel. After its partial hardening, form the surfaces and angles. In the final stage of hardening, sprinkle with water, remove the slurry and smooth with a trowel. Do not plaster frozen surfaces and fresh concrete surfaces. Layer thickness: approx. 10 mm. Apply a single layer of plaster on ceilings. Plaster thickness on ceilings: up to 15 mm. Processing time 3÷4 h. Capacity: approx. 0.9 kg/m2/mm. Temperature of application and substrate: +5 ÷ +25°C.
