CERAMICS BRICK BLOCKS

CEKOL Q-1 UNI
Distribution

Use and properties:

CEKOL Q-1 UNI is a cementitious adhesive (C), with normal setting properties (1) and extended open time (E), C1E. The product is recommended for use in thin layers to tiling ceramic on concrete, brick, cement and cement-lime plaster. Blocks and bricks can be combined together with a thin mortar. Good for surface levelling. Frost- and waterproof. For indoor and outdoor use.

Procedure:

Substrate preparation

The substrate should be clean, compact and free from grease. All residues of emulsion and oil paints and loose grains of sand should be removed with a scraper or a rough brush.

Priming

Strongly absorbent substrates should be primed with deeply penetrating CEKOL DL-80 primer.

Adhesive preparation

The adhesive should be prepared by pouring 1 kg of powder into 0.22 – 0.24 l of water (4.4 – 4.8 l of water per 20 kg bag), and then mixing thoroughly with a slow-rotating mixer until a uniform consistency is obtained. Wait around 3 minutes and mix thoroughly again. Pot life: around 3 hours.

Adhesive application

Apply the adhesive to the prepared substrate with a notched trowel. For outdoor use, it is advisable to apply a continuous layer of adhesive to the substrate and a thin layer to the underside of the tile for better adhesion.

Storage:

In the original packaging, in a dry place.
